Lot Description

A late Victorian silver dish, the body of curved rectangular form with fluted decoration terminating in embossed palmettes, having central vacant scrolled cartouche and raised upon four ball feet. Hallmarked Fenton Brothers, Sheffield 1895. Length  9 1/4 inches (23.5cm), weight 8.69 ozt (270.6 grams).

Quite heavily tarnished throughout and would benefit form a clean and polish. Otherwise appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Trace marks of scratched numbers to base cartouche. Hallmarks clear and legible.
