A George IV silver matched three piece tea service, comprising teapot, twin-handled sucrier and cream jug, each of compressed circular form with part lobed decoration to a footed base, teapot with wood handle and finial, sugar and cream with foliate capped scroll handles. Hallmarked Richard Sibley I, London 1825 (date letter illegible on cream jug), sucrier hallmarked London 1823 with maker's mark 'IH'. Maximum teapot length measuring 11 inches (28 cm), gross weight 46.17 ozt (1435.8 grams).

Condition Report
The tea service appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Residues of polish to some areas and a few minor surface nicks and dints. Gilded interiors to cream and sugar are quite faded. A couple of minor splits to teapot spout. The hinged lid appears in good working order and closes flush. Teapot with worn engraved crest to one side. Staining to wood handles likely worn away? Hallmarks are mostly clear and legible, date letter to cream jug worn. The cream jug also marked 'Makepeace London'.
