Lot Description

A late Victorian silver set of four open salts, each of oval pedestal form with part lobed decoration, hallmarked Robert Stebbings, London 1893. Together with a pair of similarly decorated pepper pots, hallmarked Nathan & Hayes, Birmingham, also 1893. Weight 5.7 ozt (177.3 grams).

All pieces appear in a tarnished state and would benefit from a clean and polish. Displaying some surface wear, marks and scratches in keeping with age and use. Compression to feet on two of the salts, more so on one. A few surface dints to lids of pepper pots, both with heavier wear around base edges and with slight wobble. All hallmarks legible, some rubbing. No glass liners.
