Lot Description
A mid-twentieth century silver mounted table cigarette box, the plain rectangular form raised on four corner bracket feet, the top with fluted edge border to the hinged lid and opening to a wood lined interior, hallmarked Deakin & Francis Ltd., Birmingham 1960, length measuring 6 7/8 inches (17.5 cm). Together with a slightly smaller and plainer example, hallmarked Cohen & Charles, London 1965, length measuring 6 1/4 inches (16 cm). (2).

Condition Report
Both boxes appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general expected tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches. The smaller box with notable dent to edge of lid and a few smaller surface dints and bumps to other areas. Both hinged lids appear in good working order and close well. The material on the underside of the larger box is very worn with heavy losses. Hallmarks to both are clear and legible.
