An early Victorian silver vinaigrette of rectangular form with scroll edge, the hinged lid engraved with a river scene depicting small boats and buildings at the water's edge, with foliate scroll decorated base and a similarly pierced grille to interior. Hallmarked Edward Smith, Birmingham 1846. Length measuring 3.5 cm, gross weight 18.9 grams.
