Lot Description

A George V silver three piece tea service, comprising teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of fluted oblong form with applied foliate rim, the teapot with stained wood handle and finial to the domed and hinged lid. Hallmarked Daniel & Arter, Birmingham 1928. Maximum teapot length 11 3/4 inches (30 cm), gross weight 39.86 ozt (1239.8 grams).

Appears in good overall condition, displaying some general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Hinged lid to teapot appears in good working order, mostly closing flush but very rising very slightly on one side. Interior heavily stained. Possible small repair to rim edge of spout. Hallmarks clear and legible including part hallmarks to lid, light rubbing.
