Lot Description

A pair of continental silver twin branch candelabra, probably Italian, each with circular base rising to a lobed column and scrolling branches with conforming lobed sockets and detachable nozzles, and further embellished with foliate motifs throughout. Impressed 800 to many parts alongside an indistinct mark, probably the Italian National mark (1944-1968). Approximate height 13 1/2 inches (34 cm), gross weight 44.83 ozt (1394 grams).

Both appear in quite a heavily tarnished and tired state, displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches. Many dints, knocks, creases and folds in the metal. Several rim splits, especially to sockets. Some likely repairs. Three of the nozzles appear jammed in position. Marked 800 with probable Italian assay mark to various parts.
