Lot Description
A continental white metal punch ladle, the circular lobe-edged bowl with scroll decoration, leading to a spiral twist baleen handle, approximate length 12 1/2 inches (32cm). Together with a white metal wine taster, of circular form with round flat capped handle, decorated with discs and fluted half border surrounding a central roundel depicting a Gurkha coat of arms beneath inscription HMS GURKHA, diameter excluding handle 3 inches (7.5cm). (2).

Bow of punch ladle tests approx 90%, bowl of wine taster tests approx 60% silver.
Punch ladle with general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Bowl thin and malleable, appears slightly bent in places, with rim splits, small crack to one side, and areas of repairs.
