Lot Description

A George II plain silver pint mug, of baluster form to a flared footed base, with acanthus capped double scroll handle. Hallmarked William Grundy, London 1758. Height 5 inches (12.7 cm), weight 12.47 ozt (388 grams).

The mug appears quite heavily tarnished to some areas and would benefit from a clean and polish. Oval patch to the front indicates an engraving removal. Otherwise displaying general expected surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Slight impression visible to the interior at the join of the base of the handle. Hallmarks are located to the underside of base and are clear and legible, some impressions visible to interior.
