Lot Description

A silver double sovereign case for a full and a half sovereign, the oblong form with engine turned banded decoration and central circular vacant cartouche to the hinged cover, with press release opening to reveal two engine turned sprung platform holders. Hallmarked E J Houlston, Birmingham, probably 1938. Length 2 1/2 inches (6.5cm), gross weight 25.3 grams.
