Lot Description

A Victorian silver caddy spoon, with shell bowl leading to an interlaced foliate scroll openwork handle, hallmarked Francis Higgins II, London 1855, length 4 inches (10 cm). Together with a George IV plain silver caddy spoon with initialled terminal, hallmarked William Schofield, London 1823. length 3 1/8 inches (8 cm). Weight 1.27 ozt (39.6 grams). (2).

Both displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Victorian example appears in good overall condition. Residues of polish visible. George IV example with heavy tarnishing throughout and quite tired in appearance. Hallmarks to both a little rubbed but all still clearly legible.
