A 19th century green marble and bronze desk thermometer, the tapered column surmounted with a head and shoulder bust of a classical warrior, impressed Bormel and dated 1893, faced with an engraved silvered scale and hollow glass mercury filled thermometer tube, 13.5" (34.25cm) high.
