Lot Description

A Victorian silver inkstand, the oval base with scrolling foliate rim enclosing pierced foliate sides, and raised upon four stylised feet, with central monogram engraved cartouche between two circular pierced mounts for glass ink pots, each of clear bulbous form with cross cut diamond decoration, with silver mount to base and hinged silver cover with conforming foliate decoration. Hallmarked London 1881, maker's mark JB. Length of base 10 3/4 inches (27.5 cm).

Tray in good overall condition, some surface scratches, tarnishing and wear.

Glass ink bottles with scratches and small losses. One cover with slight gap when closed.
