Lot Description

A silver mustard pot of plain circular form with capped scrolled handle, the hinged cover opening to reveal a blue glass liner, hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1945, with further maker's name and address to base, with associated spoon, hallmarked Jones & Crompton, Birmingham 1923. Together with a small jewellery box of shaped form and serpentine front, raised upon four cabriole legs, hallmarked Birmingham 1915, maker's marked rubbed, a Victorian butter knife with mother of pearl handle, a set of four apostle top teaspoons, hallmarked William Henry Sparrow, Birmingham 1904, four 1920's/30's teaspoons, etc. Gross weighable silver 7.68 ozt (238.8 grams).

Mustard pot good overall condition, some light tarnishing and surface scratches, blue glass liner with a few small nicks to edge.

Associated spoon heavily tarnished.

Jewellery box with light tarnishing, surface scratches and small indentations. Box stands fine but feet uneven. Gilded interior worn, and fabric inset damaged and in heavily worn condition.

Butter knife with gaps between ferrule, blade and handle, blade scratched, mother of pearl handle with small crack by ferrule.

Teaspoons with tarnishing and some wear.

Penknives and picks heavily tarnished and worn.

EPNS items worn, mother of pearl handle to fork with small loss.
