A mid Victorian gold gem-set memorial brooch. Of circular-outline, the split pearl, rose-cut diamond and circular foil-back paste cabochon centre, within an openwork rope-twist and snake-link surround, to the glazed panel reverse. Estimated dimensions of one foil-back paste cabochon 10 by 10mms. Length 4.5cms. Weight 21.3gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Personal engraving to reverse, dated '1863.'
<li>Glazed panel with small surface scratch.
<li>Diamonds fairly well matched.
<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>
<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Split pearl is in good condition, good lustre.
<li>Foil-back paste with noticeable pink foil colouring, minor surface scratches.<p>
