A mid 20th century 18ct gold diamond dress ring. The brilliant-cut diamond, with single-cut diamond horseshoe motif sides. Principal diamond estimated weight 1ct, H-I colour, P1 clarity. Ring size J. Weight 3.6gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Significant wear and loss to part of the gallery.
<li>Principal diamond with surface reaching inclusions, including a feather that could develop into a cavity.
<li>Estimated total diamond weight 1.25cts.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of non-principal diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Most non-principal diamonds with few, small inclusions.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
