Lot Description
A late Victorian gold, diamond, seed pearl and enamel brooch. The rose-cut diamond joined hearts and bow surmount, to the blue enamel heart, with white enamel and seed pearl surrounds. Length 2.8cms. Weight 5.6gms. With fitted case.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Glazed panel deficient to the back of the brooch.
<li>Alterations to fittings. Possible replacement clasp. Area around clasp is distorted with minor fissures.
<li>Diamonds relatively bright and well matched.
<li>Cut and individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate weight, colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
<li>Seed pearls are a well matched silvery hue. Moderate variation in shape. Few with noticeable wear to the outer nacre layers.
<li>Stained fine cracks and small area of repair to the white enamel.
