Lot Description
An early 19th century gold, topaz and chrysoberyl bracelet. The textured and polished mesh bracelet, with bead terminal sides, to the pink topaz and chrysoberyl cannetille clasp. Length 17cms. Weight 34gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Remains of later safety chain near tongue end of clasp.
<li>Bracelet with general, moderate, shallow dents.
<li>Cannetille with minor losses to some of the beads.
<li>Possible replacement gems. Not all gems have been tested due to setting restrictions.
<li>Gems are in closed back settings, presumed foil back.
<li>Topaz appear a well matched lightly peachy pink hue.
<li>Chrysoberyl appear a fairly well matched yellowy green hue, slight variation in saturation.
<li>Gems with minor to moderate nibbles/nicks.
<li>Width 2.4cms (at clasp).
<li>Bracelet electronically tests predominately as approximately 21ct gold, the clasp tongue electronically tests as 11ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
<li>Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible
