An early 19th century 12ct gold portrait miniature memorial brooch. Of oval outline, depicting a gentleman in period clothing, to the foliate engraved scroll surround, with hair work glazed reverse. Length 8cms. Weight 62.3gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Painting in very good condition. Some light dusting to the edges and some dirt beneath the glazed panel.
<li>With scrolling lock of hair, gold wire wheat sheaths and split pearls to the reverse, atop an opalescent glass panel.
<li>Some of the gold wire has fallen out of position.
<li>Glazed panels in good condition with some light marks.
<li>Dimensions of portrait 6.4 by 5cms.
<li>Metal electronically tests as 12ct gold.
