Lot Description
A 1940s 18ct gold and platinum, sapphire and diamond double clip brooch. Each designed as two tri-colour, square-shape sapphire and vari-cut diamond flowers, on single-cut diamond stems. Estimated total diamond weight 2.25cts. Length 7.6cms. Weight 50.6gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition good. Some scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamonds bright and well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>One baguette-cut diamond chipped.
<li>Diamonds with varied inclusions, mostly with few minor or few noticeable inclusions, some surface reaching.
<li>Sapphires are a mostly well matched deep medium slightly violetish blue hue, with few light blue and deep blue hues.
<li>Sapphires have minor to moderate facet-edge abrasion, few small nicks.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
