Condition Report
Appears with tarnishing throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish.
Surface dints and bumps. Crest heavily rubbed with loss of detail.
Some visible repairs including fairly large area to base rim where heavy solder visible to interior. Further small repair just below rim near to hinges on one side and around joins of some feet. Also damage around tip of spout. Evidence of previous fittings around mounts to wood handle.
Replacement finial, a circular surface mark is visible likely from a previous finial?
Hinged lid appears in good working order and closes flush, although quite a tight fit.
Hallmarks are located to the underside of base and these are clear and legible, with further maker's mark and lion passant to reverse of lid.
