Lot Description

An Edwardian silver vase of tulip shape to a tapering cylindrical stem, fitted in a scrolled mount on a circular base with presentation engraving and raised on three splay scroll feet, hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1908/09, height 9.5" (24cm). Together with a George V octagonal-sided vase to a conforming foot, with pierced rim and also presentation engraved, hallmarked Roberts & Belk Ltd., Sheffield 1918, height 8" (20.5cm). Weight 21.75 ozt (676.5 grams). (2).

Both vases displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.

Edwardian vase with minor knocks to wavy rim and further minor dints to other areas. Appears to fit well in the mount. Hallmarks rubbed but legible. Engraved 'Presented by The Greyhound Racing Association White City Stadium'.

Other vase also displaying a few surface dints and nicks and with heavily tarnished interior. Hallmarks clear and legible. Engraved 'Presented by The Greyhound Racing Association Ltd Harringay Stadium'.
