Lot Description

A George III silver pedestal cream jug, the ogee shape body with punch-bead rim above later floral and foliate decoration, with engraved bird crest and leaf capped double scroll handle. Hallmarked London 1785, maker's mark distorted, probably Hester Bateman. Maximum height 5.25" (13.5cm), weight 2.64 ozt (82.2 grams).

A few minor surface dints/bumps including around the base rim.

A couple of minor splits and repairs to punch-bead rim - one 'bead' missing.
