Lot Description
A Chinese export silver box and cover, of square form with canted corners, the whole with planished finish and engraved with bamboo detail, the removable cover with initial engraved central panel. Maker's mark probably for Wai Kee (Hong Kong circa 1900-1940), lid appears unmarked. Measuring 3.5" (9 cm) square, weight 6.33 ozt (197 grams).

Condition Report
Some heavy tarnishing to the whole and displaying some general surface scratches, marks and wear. Rubbing to some areas with slight loss of detail to some areas of the decoration but overall still good.
Some heavier contact wear around the edge of the base rim.
Lid is a good fit to base.
Would benefit from a clean and polish.
Maker's marks and other marks are a little distorted and lid not marked.
