Displaying some expected surface wear, marks and scratches, which appear heavier to the plainer metal of the reverse. Also numerous little surface dints and nicks, particularly visible around the edges and to the corners. Seam line visible in this same area with a little crack at one corner.

Hinged lid appears in good working order.

Surface rubbing and loss of detail to some areas of the decoration.

There are further markings alongside the crosses, possibly reads L7?

Metal tests at 94% silver. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of silver unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
