A Dutch silver jug, the globular body ornately chased with birds amidst flowering and scrolling foliage and surrounding twin opposed cartouche depicting rural and farming scenes, with figural scroll handle, below a fluted neck with grotesque spout. Minerva mark struck to neck and further marks to base including lion passant and key export mark. Height 5.5" (14 cm), weight 9.07 ozt (282 grams).

Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing.
Heavier dirt/staining to the interior.
A few minor surface dints and bumps.
Some rubbing and slight loss of surface detail to areas of the decoration.
Other marks on the base of the jug read 'SH' and 'VB' and a further indistinct mark, possibly a date letter.
