Lot Description
An Edwardian silver christening mug, of baluster form with personal engraving and foliate capped scroll handle, raised upon a circular stepped foot, hallmarked Barker Brothers, Chester 1908, height 3.5" (9cm). Together with a later example of flared cylindrical form with flat topped curved handle and raised upon a circular stepped foot, also personally engraved, hallmarked C T Burrows & Sons, Birmingham 1943, height 3.25" (8.5cm). Weight 8.07 ozt (251.2 grams). (2).

With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
First example with heavier tarnishing, and foot with knock to one area.
Second example also with knocks to foot, and mug uneven as a result. Circular rim slightly misshapen near handle. Maker's mark with pellets.
