Two late 19th century Chinese vases, the first of rectangular slightly tapering form, with cylindrical waisted neck and flared rim, the blue glazed ground decorated with hand painted panels depicting figures and blossoming flowers, with blue character marks to base, 19.25" (49cm) high, the second example of cylindrical form, with blue glazed ground and similar hand painted decoration, with blue character marks to base, 1.5" (47cm) high.

First example with wear and crazing to the glaze, a few small losses and one larger loss to rim, a number of areas of restoration and overpainting, and flaws to the glaze.
Second example with wear to the glaze and one crack through panel depicting landscape scene, panels discoloured, and some pitting and flaws to the glaze.
