Lot Description

A pair of late 19th century carved ivory okimonos, the three quarter length male and female studies possibly depicting Indian nobility or Maharaja or Maharani, each in ornate carved dress and headdress adorned with jewellery, the male figure holding a flower in the one hand, (object to other hand incomplete, female figure a/f), each with incised flower mark to base, largest 4" (10cm) high.
