WWII RAF group to Flight Sergeant Alec Bryce, 1497914, R.A.F.V.R, medals comprising 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, War Medal 1939-45, together with his Observer's and Air Gunner's Flying Log Book and personal photographs of himself and crew members. Also included in the lot are several photocopied pages from the book '467-463 Squadrons R.A.A.F' by H.M. Nobby Blundell and a copy of a letter from the Commonweath War Graves Commission.<br/>

</p>Sergeant Bryce was posted to 467 Squadron R.A.A.F in November 1943, based at RAF Waddington. Flying Lancasters, this Squadron took part in many of the major Bomber Command campaigns against Germany and German-occupied Europe. Bryce was Air Bomber or 'Bomb Aimer' and the pages from the book detail some of the Operations that himself and his crew were involved in. Sadly, the whole crew were killed in action on 27th January 1944. The Rear Gunner was never found but the remaining six members of the crew, including Bryce, are buried together in Hanover War Cemetery.
