Lot Description
A late George II small silver salver, the circular form within an applied lattice pierced wide rim decorated with floral garlands and beaded edge, with engraved lion rampant crest to the centre and raised on three splay feet. Hallmarked to base Lewis Herne & Francis Butty, London 1759, rim with lion passant only. Maximum diameter 7.5" (19cm), weight 13.1 ozt (407.4 grams).

Condition Report
Displaying some expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Many heavier scratched marks visible to the underside with patches of heavier tarnishing/staining.
The pierced rim is applied and there is some slight lifting and movement, visible to the underside. Some surface rubbing to the decoration.
Hallmarks located to underside of base, mostly clear and legible with some slight distortion to maker's mark. Also with scratch weight 13 - 8 and an engraved single initial, possibly a T or a J?
Pierced rim is marked with lion passant only.
