Lot Description
A pair of Georgian silver scissor action sugar nips, scratch initialled, with scrolled supports leading to shell grips, struck with lion passant and maker's mark, probably for John Fox (or Faux) & George Love, circa 1770, length 5" (12.5 cm). Together with five later pairs of George III sugar tongs, including four in Fiddle pattern, all assumed London, dated 1805, 1806 and 1811, one pair with marks illegible, various makers. Weight 7.98 ozt (248 grams). (6).
