A late Victorian 18ct gold Sri Lankan yellow sapphire stickpin, held by a textured eagle claw.
Verbal from GCS, stating Sri Lanka, no heat.
Sapphire calculated weight 4.17cts, based on estimated dimensions 10 by 9.2 by 5.4mms.
Length of stickpin head 2.5cms. 7gms.

<li>Overall condition good.
<li>Sapphire is a light yellow hue. Central window effect.
<li>Discolouration to the claw motif.
<li>The stickpin head electronically tests as 18ct gold, the pin electronically tests as 9ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
