A cased Victorian silver fruit dish and grape scissors.

Lot Description
A cased Victorian silver fruit dish and grape scissors, the dish of oval form with central engraved dedication surrounded by embossed fruiting vines, the lobed edge with further embossed fruits and beaded rim, the grape scissors with similar decoration of fruiting vines. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co, London 1882, scissors hallmarked Sheffield 1880, same maker. Length of dish 10.25" (26cm), total weight 15.56 ozt (484 grams).

Fruit dish with scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing, and with a few small nicks.
Grape scissors also with scratches, marks and tarnishing. Dirt residue between blades. In order for blades to close flush handle loops overlap.
