Lot Description

A matched 1930's silver four piece tea service, comprising teapot, hot water pot, cream jug, and twin-handled sucrier, each of oval bellied form and raised upon four pad feet, the tea and hot water pots with curved ebonised handles and finials. Tea and hot water pot hallmarked Sydney Hall & Co, Sheffield 1933, cream and sugar hallmarked Viner's Ltd, Sheffield 1934. Height of hot water pot 8" (20.5cm), total gross weight 63.52 ozt (1976 grams).

With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.

Hot water jug slightly unsteady on feet, and milk jug and sucrier also with very slight knocks to feet.

Sucrier with possible solder repair where top of one handle meets bowl.

Ebonised handles and finials do not match, and may be possible replacements.
