Lot Description

An Edwardian silver mustard pot and matching open salt, each of oval form with pierced sides depicting a woodland scene with wild boar and huntsmen on horseback accompanied by hounds, with blue glass liners, the mustard with foliate capped scroll handle and thumb-piece to the hinged cover, hallmarked Thomas Ducrow, Birmingham 1901 and 1902. Together with a later pepperette of plain cylindrical form and glass liner, hallmarked Gorham Manufacturing Co, Birmingham 1921. Gross weight including liner to pepper 6.78 ozt (211.1 grams).

Mustard pot and open salt with a few small indentations and nicks to edges. Open salt legs slightly knocked and slightly unsteady. Blue glass liners to mustard pot and open salt with scratches and a few nicks to edges.

Pepperette with a few small indentations, and knocks to base. Hallmarks worn but legible. Blue glass liner can not be removed easily, and has not been inspected.
