Lot Description

A 1930's silver cigarette case, of rectangular hinged form with canted sides, engine turned throughout with engraved monogram to front, hallmarked Smith & Bartlam, Birmingham 1936, length 4" (10cm). Together with a late Victorian cigarette case and two early 20th century examples, all hallmarked Birmingham, dated 1891, 1912 and 1926 (s.d). Total gross weight 12.23 ozt (380.3 grams). (4).

1930's case appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some tarnishing and some expected surface wear, marks and scratches. Hinge and clasp in good working order and closes securely. Hallmarked to interior, these clear and legible.

Other three cases in poor condition and in need of attention. All with heavy tarnish and surface wear. Several dints and bumps. Two do not stay closed and one is missing clasp. Hallmarks all legible.
