A cigarette case, testing around 14ct gold, of plain rectangular form with rounded corners, the lower right corner with engraved monogram, and thumb piece set with a sapphire cabochon, the interior personally engraved. Marked 56 to interior alongside initial mark K.M, probably Russian. Length 3.5" (9cm), gross weight 3.09 ozt (96.3 grams).

Condition Report
Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, scratches and marks and a few small edge nicks.
Hinge and clasp appear in good working order and it closes securely.
Possible repair around the hinge on one corner. There are a couple of small patches of a different gold tone, also some pitting or pin prick marks and a small circular hole in the metal.
Interior with personal engraving. '21st Birthday from Mum and Dad.'
Marked to interior K M alongside a punch containing number 56.
