A late Victorian silver trinket box and cover, of oval oblique moulded form with crimped rim, hallmarked Samuel Walton Smith, Birmingham 1893, length 2.5" (6.5cm). Together with four other silver boxes, to include a modern rectangular example with engine-turned decoration, foliate thumb-piece and gold tone border to the hinged lid, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., Birmingham 1981, a further modern box of circular form, Birmingham 1993, plus a late Victorian embossed example and a small Edwardian oval box (both a.f). Gross weight 3.91 ozt (121.7 grams). (5).
