Lot Description

An early George V Britannia silver caster, the bellied octagonal form with girdle detail above a footed base, and a removable domed cover with stylised foliate piercing. Hallmarked London 1913, maker's mark partly visible possibly Robert Frederick Fox, further incised to base 'Made in England for Tiffany & Co.' Height to finial 7" (17.7 cm), weight 11.17 ozt (347.5 grams).

Appears in a fairly tarnished state throughout and displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.

A few minor surface dints and nicks, especially to some edges and corners.

Lid appears to be a fairly good fit.

Hallmarks clear and legible and repeated to lid. Maker's marks to both parts very worn.
