Lot Description

A set of three silver mounted glass decanters, each of ovoid form with silver mounted knopped neck and later mushroom stopper, the bodies with diamond and relief diamond cut decoration, hallmarked Preece & Williscombe, London, date letters worn and indistinct, 11.5" (29cm) high. Together with a further pair, each of rectangular form with silver mounted neck and domed stopper, with American Brilliant style cut decoration, hallmarked Preece & Williscombe, London 1966, 9.25" (23.5cm) high.

Set of three with scratches and some nicks to glass and some internal glass flaws. Stoppers with some losses, particular to underside, one example with significant chips. Stoppers believed to be later replacements.

Silver collars all with scratches, marks, wear and heavy tarnishing. Hallmarks all rubbed and worn.

Pair with scratches and some nicks to glass and some internal glass flaws. One example with losses to lower corner. Stoppers with scratches, a number of small losses to top, and further larger losses beneath.
