Lot Description

A late Victorian silver matched bachelor three piece tea service, comprising teapot, cream jug, (a/f), and swing-handled sucrier, each of part fluted form and raised upon an oval pedestal base. Hallmarked Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London 1896 and 1897, and Sheffield 1899. Height of teapot 6" (15cm), total gross weight 20.77 ozt (646.1 grams).

With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.

Teapot with visible seam to stem of foot, solder noticeable but smooth, possible repair. A sew small indentations and nicks throughout. Ebonised handle heavily worn.

Jug slightly unsteady on base, handle with break to upper section, spout misshapen and uneven, and top of stem with knocks and visible solder repair.

Sucrier with visible solder repair where one side of swing handle meets bowl.
