Lot Description

A cased set of four silver pepper pots, each of urn form with twin foliate handles, hallmarked Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1916, height 4" (10cm). Together with a cased pair of Edwardian silver salts, of shell form raised upon three ball feet, and two accompanying spoons, hallmarked William Aitken, Birmingham 1906. Total weight 9.75 ozt (303.5 grams).

Urns with some surface scratches, wear and light tarnishing. With some small indentations and areas of pitting. One example leading on stem which has visible solder repair, the same urn also has possible repair to one handle. Hallmarks all partly rubbed.

One open salt has visible solder repair to underside back edge.

Spoon handles knocked, and both with visible solder repairs where handles meet bowls. Maker's marks to spoons partly worn.
