A 19th century coromandel veneered etui, the case of rectangular form, the hinged cover inset with gilt metal mounted carved shell cameos, the fitted blue velvet lined interior containing a propelling pencil marked Asprey, a gold thimble, a gilt metal tape measure, steel scissors, and other accessories, 7" (17.75cm) wide.

Lid to box is split and repaired to back edge, cameo to cover is cracked and damaged, box has further wear and damage with splits to corners, some fittings replaced.
Thimble tests around 19ct.
