Lot Description

A fine Victorian two-volume set, 'The Dore Bible' Limited Edition De Luxe, Cassell & Co. 1875, with Gustave Dore illustrations, Vol. I Genesis to Lamentations, Vol. II Ezekiel to Revelation, original sellers plate by Waverley Books attached stating number 389 of 485 copies, with engravings, bound in dark brown-black morocco with elaborate gilt lettering, marbled end papers, each 15.5" x 12" (39.5cm x 30.5cm). (2).
