Full Lot Description
A George V matched Scottish silver four piece tea service, comprising teapot, hot water pot, twin-handled sucrier and cream jug, of circular tapered form to footed base, each of plain decoration with reeded border detail, all except hot water pot with engraved initial 'M' between borders, the tea and hot water pots with bird-shaped spouts and plain finials to each domed and hinged lid, all with plain scroll handles with stylised birds at base. Hallmarked R & W Sorley, Glasgow 1917 & 1920. Height of hot water pot 9.25" (23.5cm), gross weight 66 ozt (2,056 grams).
