Full Lot Description
A large twin-handled pedestal bowl, the bulbous body with embossed and chased flowers and leafy scrolls, surrounding twin opposed vacant cartouche, with flat-top angular handles and raised on a spread circular foot, probably missing a lid. Impressed to base, 'ST.SIL', and Stokes & Sons, Melbourne. Maximum height to handle 7.25" (18.5cm), gross weight 36.72 ozt (1142 grams).

Condition Report
<li>Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing throughout.
<li>Some minor surface nicks and dints.
<li>Heavier scratched marks and contact marks to interior base.
<li>In some areas, the surface appears quite uneven with bumps and little dints, especially around the curved section inside the rim. These appear more notable to an area on one side of a handle. Possible repairs in this area?
<li>Circular rim appears very slightly out of shape as diameter measuring 8" by 8.25"
<li>Some slight knocks around edges of rim and foot rim.
<li>Foot rim also with some small gouges or file marks.
<li>It is very likely missing a lid.
<li>Marks to base are clearly legible.
<li>Further indistinct mark below the rim to one side of a handle, possibly 'SS' (in the same area as the damage mentioned above).
