Lot Description

A late 19th century silver and gold, diamond, split and seed pearl bird pendant, with later 18ct gold chain.

Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 0.15ct.
Chain with import marks for Sheffield, 1998.
Length of pendant 3.9cms. Length of chain 52cms. 5.1gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Pendant with some light to moderate marks, wear and discolouration in keeping with age. Slight damage to the head, with possibly two rose-cut diamonds deficient.

<il>Set with rose-cuts and old-cut diamonds.

<li>Diamonds appear fairly bright. Some with small nicks and abrasions. Old-cut diamonds estimated H-J colour, VS2-SI2 clarity.

<li>Seed pearl drop in good condition, with minor abrasions. Split pearl in good condition, possible replacement.

<li>Set with small ruby cabochons to the eyes. Rubies appear in good condition.
