Full Lot Description
A George V silver sovereign case with engraved scroll and foliate design and central vacant cartouche, with button press closing mechanism, opening to an interior with two sprung engine-turned platforms to hold a sovereign and a half-sovereign, hallmarked Samuel M Levi, Chester 1912. Together with a compact of plain circular form with interior mirror, hallmarks worn, and another similar example of oval form, hallmarked Birmingham 1918. Gross weight 1.88ozt (58.6 grams). (3).

<li>All items are heavily tarnished with significant dents and surface scratches.
<li>The closing mechanism of the sovereign case is in good working order, but the interior sprung platforms are partially broken and do not spring back into place.
<li>The hallmarks of the circular compact have rubbed off and are not legible.
<li>The hinged lids of the compacts are in good working order, but the mirrors on the underside are slightly loose.
