A French silver snuff box, of scroll-edge rectangular form with floral and foliate scroll decoration and geometric pattern to base, the hinged lid with centrally engraved cartouche of a temple. Struck with Minerva mark for 950 standard, a maker's mark and boar guarantee mark. Length 3.25" (8.5cm), gross weight 2.9 ozt (90.2 grams).

<li>Appears in fairly good overall condition.
<li>Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use.
<li>Some slightly heavier wear around edges and corners, and heavier contact and scuffed marks around base edge and patch to the centre of the base.
<li>Some light surface wear and rubbing to the decoration with slight loss of detail to some areas; however overall has retained much detail.
<li>Hinges appear in good working order and lid closes flush and securely.
<li>Gilt interior with some surface wear and tarnishing.
<li>Assay marks located to inner rim of lid with a boar mark to interior base.
